María José Font Boix is a partner at CENTELL-FOLCH ABOGADOS ASOCIADOS.

A member of the Barcelona Bar Association.

A graduate in Law from the Universitat de Barcelona (University of Barcelona).

A graduate in Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Polytechnic University of Catalunya).

She has broadly based experience in Commercial and Corporate law, and sits on numerous company boards and boards of trustees at non-profit entities.

She has played a role in a wide range of transactions relating to non-profit entities, universities, foundations and associations, providing advice in all their fields of concern.

Her third-sector specialisation has enabled her to acquire in-depth expertise in the law of succession and in tax law as applied to non-profits. For more than 30 years she has advised non-profit bodies and individuals on the legal issues surrounding legacies, bequests and gifts.

Having trained in both law and in architecture, she also has broad experience of the property and urban planning fields. She was once appointed as an arbitrator on the Catalan Arbitration Tribunal in a matter concerning construction law.

For many years she has hosted and spoken at training courses on issues relating to non-profit bodies.

She is the co-author of Responsabilidad de los patronos por Conflicto de intereses en las fundaciones (Editorial Bosch, 2015)[The Liability of Trustees for Conflict of Interests in Foundations]
